For years, the rumbling heart of a Mercedes-AMG has been defined by the deep, unmistakable roar of an Affalterbach-built V8. It’s a sound that has echoed through the showroom floors here at The Dealers Group and sparked the passion of driving enthusiasts everywhere.
But change is officially here, and it is electrifying.
Mercedes-AMG has pulled the wraps off one of its most anticipated and talked-about models yet: the all-new, fully electric GT 4-Door Coupé. Built on the brand’s cutting-edge AMG.EA (AMG Electric Architecture) platform, this series-production sports car proves that Mercedes isn't just dipping its toes into electrification—it is diving in headfirst.
For the purists wondering if an EV can truly wear the iconic AMG badge, the staggering performance metrics of this new machine offer a resounding answer.

Pure Performance: The Specs That Matter
At launch, the GT 4-Door Coupé will be offered in two distinct flavors: the GT 55 and the flagship GT 63.
Instead of traditional electric motors, AMG has utilized innovative, ultra-compact axial flux motors developed by its subsidiary, YASA. By using disc-like rotors where electromagnetic flux runs parallel to the rotation axis, these motors deliver massive, repeatable power without the degradation often seen in standard EVs.
Here is how the two models stack up on paper:
Mercedes-AMG GT 55 4-Door Coupé: Delivers a potent 600 kW of drive output, pushing it from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds.
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupé: The absolute flagship. Under AMG Launch Control, this monster unleashes a mind-boggling 860 kW of peak power and an earth-shattering 2,000 Nm of torque.
How fast is the GT 63? It will rocket you from 0 to 100 km/h in a jaw-dropping 2.1 seconds (utilizing a 1-foot rollout), clearing 200 km/h in 6.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 300 km/h.

F1 Technology and 11-Minute Charging
To back up that immense power, AMG looked straight to Formula 1 and the AMG ONE hypercar to design the 800-volt AMG High Performance Electric Battery.
Featuring an advanced direct cooling system that pumps an oil-based coolant around each of its 2,660 cylindrical cells, the battery stays at the optimum temperature whether you are pushing hard on a track day or plugged into a fast charger.
Speaking of charging: the car supports a massive 600 kW DC fast-charging capacity. If you're running low, you can replenish 10% to 80% of your state of charge in just 11 minutes. Even a brief 10-minute stop can add around 460 kilometers of driving range.
Does it Still Feel Like an AMG?
This is the ultimate question for our clients at The Dealers Group. To ensure the car retains its heritage, AMG has built in some incredible engineering wizardry:
The AMGFORCE S+ Drive Program: For the traditionalists, this mode delivers an immersive, patent-pending acoustic experience based on the iconic AMG GT R. It uses 1,600 sound loops to simulate the mechanical growl and haptic feedback of gear changes, perfectly synced to your driving style.
AMG RACE ENGINEER: Three rotary switches on the center console give you total control over Response (pedal aggressiveness), Agility (torque distribution for controlled oversteer), and a 9-stage Traction Control system derived straight from the hardcore Black Series.
Active Ride Control & Rear-Steering: Standard interconnected hydraulic roll stabilization replaces traditional anti-roll bars, while active rear-axle steering turns the rear wheels by up to 6 degrees—making this 5-meter-long luxury cruiser handle like a compact sports car.
Coming Soon to the Roads
While local pricing will be finalized closer to its arrival, Mercedes-AMG indicates that it will remain aligned with its high-performance predecessors.
The automotive landscape is changing, but cars like the new GT 4-Door Coupé prove that "electric" doesn't have to mean boring. It means faster, sharper, and more technologically advanced than ever before.
